Introducing Search 2.0: A Simpler, More Efficient Way to Find Contracts
At IntelAgree, we're all about taking the headache out of contract management.
That's why we've listened to your feedback and used it to create our latest feature: Search 2.0. This huge upgrade was released on November 13, 2023, and it’s going to make finding your contracts smoother, easier, and faster than ever before.

What's New with Search 2.0?
Search 2.0 is designed to make your search process more efficient and personalized. It offers two distinct types of searches: a simple search bar to find keyword-related matches and an advanced search page for more granular, refined results.
- Simple Search: The improved search bar now features a drop-down menu that displays your recent, last five saved, and last five shared searches. This way, you can quickly revisit your most relevant searches without having to remember or retype them. Plus, there's a handy button that directs you straight to the advanced search page, saving you time and clicks.
- Advanced Search: Clicking on the aforementioned advanced search button takes you to a dedicated page. Here, you can craft detailed search criteria using three simple components:
- Attribute: Select an attribute from the drop-down menu. This could be anything from a contract's name to its expiry date.
- Operator: Depending on the attribute you've selected, this section offers relevant operators. For example, if you chose a date attribute, the operators could include options like 'before', 'after', or 'on'.
- Value: Here, you can type in any value or select from a pre-set list based on the attribute and operator you chose. This could be a specific date, a contract name, or any other relevant value.
With Search 2.0, you can also create up to ten "groupings" of criteria, each containing up to ten elements. This function is especially helpful if you're dealing with large amounts of data or need to find hyper-specific, detailed results quickly.
Why We Built Search 2.0
Previously, our search bar was a one-size-fits-all tool, performing both simple keyword searches and complex queries. But we realized search — especially advanced search — could be daunting for some users.
By making advanced search simpler and more welcoming, we're ensuring that every feature of IntelAgree does what it's intended to do: accelerate contract management so you can focus on impactful work, not busy work. This update reinforces our commitment to continuously improve your experience based on your feedback.
What's Coming Next?
In early 2024, we're introducing even more granular permissions — a fantastic new feature all about boosting your control over access permissions, at the organizational, legal entity, and contract-type levels.
This update will include a default permissions setup, allowing you to set and tweak your preferences once before applying them across all selected areas or overriding permissions. The result? A simplified workflow and less repetition.
Let's delve deeper:
- Granular Permissions: This upgrade puts power in your hands, enabling you to fine-tune access permissions based on organization or contract type. For example, if you're managing a team responsible only for NDAs and MSAs, you can permit them to focus exclusively on these areas. It's all about enhancing security and avoiding an influx of unrelated contracts, so your contract management experience is smoother and more efficient.
- Default Permissions Setup: With this update, you can choose to set and modify your permissions automatically— whether you want to add these selections to options you've already checked, override previous permissions, or start from scratch. This feature aims to simplify your workflow, cut down on repetition, and save you precious time.
